Zoom automatic captioning bolsters Miami's accessibility
Miami has rolled out automatic captioning for Zoom classes, meetings and events. The feature, which uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create real-time text-based captions of what is spoken, is enabled on every university Zoom account.

Three new Myaamia Center programs, including two fellowships, aim to increase educational opportunities on campus
"No student should graduate from Miami without a basic knowledge and appreciation for the unique relationship their institution has with a sovereign Native American Tribe that historically lived within this region and bears its name," said Daryl Baldwin, executive director of the Myaamia Center.

Miami University suspends ACT, SAT admission requirement for Fall 2022 on the Oxford campus
Miami University has announced it will be test optional and not require ACT or SAT test scores of first-year students applying for admission for fall 2022 and spring 2023 to ensure equitable access for students affected by test cancellations and other implications of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Miami will hold in-person commencement May 13-16
Miami University President Gregory Crawford announced today that the university intends to hold in-person commencement ceremonies for its more than 4,000 graduates May 13-16, while also live-streaming the ceremonies for those unable to attend in person.
