Miami University President Gregory Crawford and University Ambassador Dr. Renate Crawford welcome a special guest this Saturday to the latest M.O.V.E. Bootcamp.
Miami Men’s Basketball Coach Travis Steele is scheduled to join the Crawfords from 10-11 a.m. at Lewis Place. The health and wellness event is free and open to the Miami community. Participants will also receive a special Crawford Collection T-shirt celebrating the RedHawks’ 31-0 regular-season.
The bootcamps serve as a way to focus on health, both physical and mental. While they started with a handful of attendees, the popular bootcamps have flourished over the years with repeat participants as well as new faces.
Steele recently completed his fourth season as Miami’s head coach, leading the RedHawks to an undefeated regular season, a Mid-American Conference (MAC) championship, and their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2007.
Miami finished its season 32-2, setting a new program record for wins and going a perfect 16-0 at Millett Hall. The RedHawks defeated SMU 89-79 in the First Four of the NCAA Tournament in front of a packed crowd at UD Arena in Dayton.
Along with MAC Coach of the Year accolades, Steele also was named the 2026 John McLendon National Coach of the Year by College Insider. The award is given annually to the top head coach among all levels of college basketball.
