Associated Student Government announces 2025 Outstanding Professor Award, top 10 nominees

Miami University’s Associated Student Government (ASG) announced the top 10 nominees and winner of the 2025 Outstanding Professor Award.
Beth Miller, associate professor of Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health, received the Outstanding Professor Award. “Dr. Miller has had a profound impact on my academic development, professional growth, and overall college experience. Her unwavering dedication to her students, her passion for research, and her meaningful contributions to the Miami University community make her an extraordinary professor who goes above and beyond in every aspect of her role,” a student nominator wrote.
“She makes learning engaging and purposeful by connecting academic content to real-world implications, community needs, and current events. Dr. Miller’s impact extends far beyond the classroom and research lab. She is an active member of the Miami University community who consistently works to create opportunities for students and support community partnerships,” the nominator wrote. “Through her work, Dr. Miller demonstrates the importance of community-engaged scholarship and inspires her students to think beyond the classroom and contribute meaningfully to the world around them.”
