Value Latin American Culture

Latin American Studies examines cultures, economies, social and political systems, history, and more across the hemisphere. You’ll have opportunities to study abroad and participate in service learning with Latin American communities in Ohio. Completion of language courses in Spanish, Portuguese, or French are also required.

Curriculum and Courses

The interdisciplinary nature of LAS allows students to take courses in a variety of disciplines. Study abroad, independent study, and service learning credits may be combined with traditional coursework in completion of the LAS major. LAS majors are required to complete language courses in Spanish, Portuguese, or French.
