- You have been assigned a Miami UniqueID and a default MUnet password. You will need to log in to a Miami service in order to change your default password. MyMiami is a web portal that provides a central access point for faculty, staff and students to Miami services and information including your Miami e-mail, announcements, information about university offices and activities, and access to other Miami web services including BannerWeb.
- Access MyMiami by going to http://mymiami.miamioh.edu.
- To log in, use the UniqueID provided to you by Human Resources/Academic Personnel and your default MUnet Password:
- First 2 digits of your birth month, followed by the first 2 digits of your birth day, followed by the last 4 digits of your social security number.
- The first time you log in you will be prompted to change your password. You will also be prompted to enroll in DUO, Miami's two-factor authentication for online University resources. More information about DUO is available on the DUO website.
Access your Miami email account through MyMiami or by going to mail.miamioh.edu. Official notifications are distributed through Miami email; therefore, you should begin using your @MiamiOH.edu email account immediately. Information about your email account, including set up for mobile devices, can be found on the IT Services Knowledge Base.
- BannerWeb is your online access to employee services such as updating your address, editing direct deposit and tax information, requesting a tuition fee waiver, and unclassified leave reporting. You can log in to BannerWeb with your Miami UniqueID and MUnet Password.
- You can access BannerWeb at https://miamioh.edu/bannerweb. After logging in, review your Personal Information to ensure that it is correct. If you have questions, contact Human Resources at 529-3131 or Academic Personnel at 529-6724.
- All new employees must complete both federal and state income tax withholding forms to allow Miami to withhold the correct income taxes from your pay. We recommend that you consider completing a new Form W-4 when your personal or financial situation changes (e.g., address or family status change).
- Complete the federal and state W-4 withholding form (for Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana residents) in BannerWeb, under the "Employee Services Online" section. More information is available on the Human Resources Tax Information webpage.
Log in to BannerWeb to complete your payroll direct deposit form. More information about direct deposit is available on the Human Resources Direct Deposit for Payroll webpage. Based on your position, your pay schedule is once per month or bi-weekly.
Campus maps, transportation information, and directions are available online for the Oxford Campus and Regional Campuses.
- All vehicles parked on our campuses must be registered in our parking system. Employees who need to park on campus should review parking options, pricing, and complete the online form on the Parking Services website.
- Please note that you will need the following information in order to register your vehicle(s): make, model, color, license plate number.
Miami University has contracted with Omnilert (e2Campus) to provide emergency notification services to the university community via cell phone text messages and email. The system, "Miami Emergency Text Messaging System," is available to Miami University students, faculty and staff on all three Butler County campuses. Messages may be used for situations that pose immediate danger or the closing of an entire campus. Messages about Safety Bulletins generally will not be sent unless it is decided there is an imminent threat of danger. This notification service will not eliminate or replace any existing emergency reporting procedures; it will add to them. Sign up information is available on the Emergency Text Messaging Systems webpage.
As a Miami employee, you do not pay into Social Security. You will contribute to the state retirement plan. View the website or watch the retirement interactive videos (staff-OPERS or faculty-STRS) for details.
View the Benefits interactive video to familiarize yourself with your university benefits, your retirement options, and how to enroll.
